abortion aftercare

You Are Not Alone.

If you have ever experienced an abortion or were part of the decision, you may feel alone.

Although not all individuals need post-abortion care, many do. At Options Health, we are here to help you work through any issues that may be related to a previous abortion. Emotional reactions are common and it’s completely normal to feel relief, guilt, grief, and sadness. The duration and intensity of your grieving process is unique to you and can vary from person to person. If you’re experiencing persistent feelings of depression, sadness, and guilt and they are impacting your daily life and happiness, we are here for you, you are not alone.

Did you know you are not alone? Approximately 1 in 4 women in the US will have an abortion by the age of 45.

Most never talk about it. They hide the secret and often silently struggle with their decision. If this sounds familiar to you, we want you to know there is hope and healing. We’re here to listen and to help you begin the healing journey.

After an abortion, you may experience:

  • Guilt and/or Anxiety
  • Avoidance Behaviors
  • Depression and/or Anger
  • Fear of becoming pregnant again
  • Re-experience events relating to an abortion experience
  • Disruption of the bonding with present or future children
  • Eating Disorders
  • Engaging in Practices of Self-Harm
  • Engaging in Negative or Addictive Behaviors

Trauma after abortion is real and many are not able to process their painful thoughts and emotions or identify and grieve their loss. Abortion affects everyone differently, but there are many similar symptoms of post-abortion stress.

You do not have to suffer in silence any more.

Our Abortion Aftercare program provides support to women and men who have experienced abortion at some time in their lives, no matter how many years ago. Our mission is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment that facilitates healing and restoration.

Options Health is a safe and confidential place to find peace, move beyond the secret despair and pain, and move into a place of healing and wholeness.  Meet one-on-one or in a small group with others who have the same experiences.

This isn’t the end of your story;
